community of massage therapists, dedicated to providing our students with
a deeply rewarding educational experience. Cortiva's approach to
massage therapy training empowers our students to reach their full potential.
We take a holistic approach to massage, one which emphasizes the science
of the body and the hands-on experience only real-life encounters can
teach. But our massage schools don't stop there. We teach students
the business basics, as well, so they know what it takes to succeed in

Cortiva Institute ("Cortiva") is devoted to raising the standards
of massage therapy education. We believe that science and technique alone
aren't enough. Through a comprehensive approach to massage therapy
classes – one that incorporates both science and spirit –
we prepare our students for successful practices in many different professional
settings.
Our curriculum is grounded in the belief that scientific foundations and
real-life experiences create passionate massage therapy professionals.
As a student here, you'll benefit from a combination of hands-on
massage therapy courses, clinic work and community outreach. After you've
received your certification, we'll continue to support you with
ongoing learning opportunities through continuing education, lectures
and workshops.
Our Massage Therapy College Diploma Program is a holistic and hands-on
approach to massage. You'll be challenged to create your own career
path, working in a hospital, clinic, spa, health club, or your own private
practice. Training covers three top areas of study:
Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology
Coursework in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology provides a solid foundation
in understanding the structure, function and health of the human body.
You'll learn proper medical terminology that is actively reinforced
in classroom experiences.
Massage Therapy and Practice
Master techniques in a classroom setting and practice them in a supervised
and supportive environment. We also provide training in body mechanics
and the best self-care so that you can enjoy a long and healthy career.
Hands-on training in the Student Clinic and in our Community Outreach
program will further prepare you to interact with clients.
Professional Development
This coursework rounds out your educational experience with the business
basics necessary to succeed as a professional. With the help of your Instructors,
you'll define your goals and target markets for a successful practice.
