Cortiva's location allows our students ease of commute from St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Tampa. We also have students who commute from Lakeland, Plant City, Brookesville, Holiday, Dunedin, Safety Harbour, and Orlando.

Some of Florida's major attractions include Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios and Busch Gardens. All these attractions are within one and half hours of the school. Florida also has a strong university system, and our area is home to two major universities: University of South Florida and Eckerd College. In addition, the school is close to outstanding hospital facilities: Moffit Cancer Center, Bayfront Heart Institute, and All Children's Hospital are but a few of the nationally recognized medical facilities nearby.

Sports and leisure are important to residents on the Suncoast. Sailing, bicycling, running, wakeboarding, fishing, windsurfing, and leisurely cruising on the waterways are favorite activities of many who live here. We are the home of professional baseball, football and ice hockey teams. Concerts and performances can be found weekly at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Theater, the Ice Palace, Tropicana Field, Ruth Eckerd Hall, the Sundome, and the Bayfront Center.
