Clinic in session through September 19, 2008
Scheduling a Clinic Massage: Clinics generally run by
school term, with breaks for holidays and exams. Appointments are offered
morning, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. To see a list of dates and
time, click here for the
calendar.
To make an appointment, call the school at 206-282-1233 x100. We start
scheduling two week prior to term start. In order to accommodate as many
clients as possible, each client can make up to three appointments at
once. Your credit card # is required to hold your appointment when scheduling
(see our 24 hour cancellation policy.)
Payment: Massages are $30.00 per appointment. Please
pay your student practitioner with cash, check or credit card at the time
of your appointment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and
Discover. Gift certificates are available for purchase. We offer frequency
cards at no cost - your tenth massage is free!
Cancellations: It is important that you keep your appointment.
Our students depend upon their clinic massage hours for graduation. If
you must cancel an appointment, we require a minimum of 24-hours notice
in order to fill your appointment time. We will bill the full $30 for
late cancellations (less than 24-hours notice) or those who "no-show"
for their appointment. You have the option of sending a friend in your
place to avoid being charged.
Tipping: Students are prohibited from receiving any money
or tips. If you enjoyed your experience, please refer your friends!
Here are some things to be aware of:
-
The rooms: Your massage will take place in private treatment room within
our clinic. Each room holds one massage table and has individually adjustable
lights and music.
-
Student Practitioners: Our students have at completed at least fifty percent
of their training program prior to participating in Student Clinic. We
are unable to accommodate requests for practitioners who practice a specific
modality or of a certain gender.
-
The Appointment: Massage appointments are scheduled for one hour. Please
arrive 10 minutes early. If this is you first time visiting our clinic,
or you have not been seen in 12 months, we will need you to complete a
Health History intake form.
- Your appointment includes:
- intake and assessment
- hands on massage
- post-massage assessment
Because the students are required to complete these pre- and post-massage
assessments, the length of the hands on portion of the session will vary
from 45 minutes to one hour.
Please allow 90 minutes for your appointment as you will also be asked
to complete a written evaluation of your practitioner.
Supervisor: A supervisor will enter the treatment room
during the massage to observe the student. The supervisor may or may not,
interact with the student practitioner to facilitate their learning and
enhance the massage treatment.
Thank you! We hope to see you soon, relaxing at our clinic.
