Since 1998, we have been providing affordable therapeutic massage to clients from our local community. As part of our internship experience for students, thousands of clients have taken advantage of the opportunity to receive supervised, quality massage.
After passing their first trimester practical exam, students spend 50 hours in the clinic. Students schedule their own appointments, handle financial transactions, and perform office duties, such as charting, filing and maintaining communication with clients. This link between classroom learning and professional application is essential to a comprehensive preparation.
Both clients and students agree that the Student Clinic is a great opportunity.

I have been coming to the student clinic for many years now. Never was this so important to me than when I was in the midst of my training for the October 5 -7, 2007 Philadelphia 3 Dayevent. For this event, you walk 60 miles over three days to benefit the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust to help find a cure for breast cancer as well as to provide support to Philadelphia-area awareness and support programs. While training for this, I started having some trouble with my hip and thought I would have to give up the walk. At my weekly visits to the clinic, I described what was happening to my therapists and they went to work to try to work out the tightness. Wow! Did they do a terrific job. If it were not for my visits to the clinic, I might not have been able to do the walk. Not only did I finish, I finished early with no muscle aches and pains and thanks to the support I received from the clinic, we helped raise $6.3 million. You and your students made a difference! You may not have walked with me but I could not have walked without you.
