I have had the privilege of never working a day in my life! To many people today, that may seem like a dream, but to thousands it has become a reality. Through the art and science of massage therapy, many people have found that earning a living can be enjoyable! Just think, what other allows you the opportunity to give the healing touch to a client who is now pain-free after suffering with chronic back pain for weeks; or receive a thank-you note from the “stressed out” executive who was able to sleep for the first time in days; or watch the tears of joy in the face of the 80 year old woman who, for the first time in weeks, can raise her arms above her head? There’s nothing like it. Massage can change lives and not just for the recipient but also for the therapist.
Think about the single mother trying to juggle her family and make a living, pursuing a vocation where she has control over the hours she works so that she can balance her work and her personal life. Or, how about the unhappy office worker, who spends hours in a position that doesn’t provide job satisfaction and who finally finds a career in massage therapy? Each day, massage therapists are affirmed by the clients they serve. The profession of massage therapy can truly change your life.
