Cortiva Institute - Chicago School of Massage at Chicago LaSalle Bank Marathon

On Sunday, October 7, 2007, Cortiva Institute - Chicago participated in the Chicago LaSalle Bank Marathon and gave 1,000 massages on that hot and humid day!

Here is the letter we have received from George Chiampas, the Medical Director at LaSalle Bank Marathon:

"To All Medical Volunteers,

First of all I wanted to say Thank You for volunteering your time and expertise to this years Marathon. We experienced warm weather with extreme conditions and did an absolutely exceptional job. The numbers of runners treated are still being counted but, what I do know is that without your amazing support to this race those numbers would be significantly more. In my opinion, and others I have spoken with, the Medical team (everyone included) SAVED LIVES. For the students and residents your programs and program directors should be very proud of your efforts. Be proud of the work you have done. Thank you again and see you next year."
