Deeply committed to the healing power of touch, our teachers bring their expertise from experience to the classroom. As successful professionals, they represent a variety of approaches, settings, and backgrounds. However, they all share a passion for teaching and a commitment to the highest standards.

Bobbe Bermann, B.S., NCTMB, LMT
Bobbe has taught in the Diploma Program on and off since 1987 in both technique and lecture. She is a CSMT graduate (1986) with advanced training in deep tissue sculpting, sports massage, St. John Method of Neuromuscular Therapy, infant massage, Maniken anatomy systems and Gyrotonic. Bobbe has been in private practice for over 18 years. She has a B.S. degree in physical education from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Annette Chamness, M.M., NCTMB
In addition to being a Chicago graduate (1992), Annette is a Registered Craniosacral Therapist (Bio-Dynamic Model).She has advanced training in Neuromuscular and Myofascial therapy, Reflexology, Infant Massage instruction, and Bodywork for the Childbearing year. Annette has been an assistant instructor with Kate Jordan Seminars since 1996. Her bodywork practice specializes in chronic pain relief, medically complex clients, and pregnancy massage. Annette graduated with a Masters degree in music from DePaul University in Chicago.

Earl Conner, NCTMB
A long time faculty member, Earl has been teaching workshops in neuromuscular therapy and myofascial therapy throughout the U.S. since 1991. Earl is a Chicago graduate (1987) with advanced training in St. John Neuromuscular Therapy, myofascial therapy, and sports massage. He specializes in massage for relief of chronic pain, and postural/fascial distortion.

Maria Durbin Cooper, B.Ph., NCTMB, LMT
Maria graduated from CSMT in 1995 and had been a technique instructor since 1996. She lectures on Professional Foundations, and has presented massage at St Joseph Hospital, The National Youth Leadership Forum, and the Taste of Chicago. Maria is certified in Myofascial Therapy, and has advanced training in Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Reiki. She is fluent in Spanish and is a published writer/editor.

Mark Fletter
Mark Fletter is a Chicago graduate (2002). In addition to teaching, Mark currently plays a supervisory role as an assistant in a physical therapy setting, bringing the benefits of massage to the rehabilitation community. He holds advanced certification in Neuromuscular therapy as well as Myofascial release. Mark has apprenticed in Peru, studying Andean forms of indigenous healing work. Locally, Mark continues his training in the native Arapahoe tradition of North America. He brings his appreciation for the energetic body as well as the physical to his private practice and to the classroom.

Wayne Hussey, B.S., NCTMB
Wayne is a Chicago graduate (2000) and holds B.S. degrees in kinesiology and psychology from the University of in Ontario, Canada. Wayne has experience as a personal trainer, physical therapy technician, and exercise physiologist in cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Faith Leyson
Faith is a Chicago graduate (1997) with advanced certification in Myofascial Therapy. Faith has extensive experience as both practitioner and manager in high profile Chicago area spa settings. She also maintains her clinical practice in a chiropractic office.

Mark McNeill, B.A., NCTMB
Mark is a Chicago graduate (1994) with advanced training in clinical and sports massage and myofascial massage therapy. He works with Northwestern University's Athletic Training Department. Mark has a B.A. degree in speech, theater and dance from Glassboro State College in New Jersey.

Jane Pabich, NCTMB
Jane, a Chicago graduate (1998), is a certified Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor and has worked in spinal and sports rehabilitation. She has 15 years experience as a Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist and is also licensed in mammography.

Carol Porter, B.A.
Carol, a Chicago graduate (1993), has been working in the spa and health club industry for 12 years. She is certified in hot stone massage and has received a wide variety of continuing education training. Carol graduated with honors from DePaul University with a degree in psychology.

Angela Reiter, NCTMB
Angie is a Chicago graduate (1994) with additional certifications in Myofascial release, Pregnancy massage, and hot and cold stone therapy. In addition to instructing, Angie owns a spa in Mokena, Illinois, where she primarily offers relief for those in chronic pain.

Frances Salvato, B.S., NCTMB
Frances was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the Illinois chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association for outstanding performance as a massage educator. Frances is an instructor in anatomy, kinesiology, technique and and leads the Myofascial Certification program along with numerous continuing education symposia. A 1994 Chicago graduate, Frances has advanced training in Structural Integration, Myofascial Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Sports Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Infant Massage, Healing Touch, and Reiki. She has Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University.

Moira Scullion, B.S., NCTMB
Moira is a Chicago graduate (1999) and is certified in Myofascial Release, Pregnancy Massage, and Shoshin Shiatsu. She also has advanced training in Arvigo Techniques of Mayan Abdominal Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, The Benjamin System of Orthopedic Massage, and various forms of energy work. She received her B.S. degree in studio art with a minor in psychology/anthropology from Loyola University, Chicago.

Terri Visovatti B.S.
Terri is a Chicago graduate (1996) and is certified in Myofascial massage, Bodywork for the Childbearing year, and has advanced training in Personal Training. She has a B.S. degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois-Chicago. She has maintained a private massage practice since 1996.

Gail Willert, B.A., NCTMB
Gail is a Chicago graduate (1989) with advanced training in Orthobionomy, energy bodywork, manual lymph drainage, and myofascial massage. Gail received B.A. degrees in design from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
