Cortiva Institute - Brian Utting School is no longer
enrolling new students or offering introduction to massage workshops or
continuing education. In March 2007, Cortiva Education, the parent company to Cortiva
Institute - Brian Utting School of Massage decided to cease offering instruction under
the name of Brian Utting and combine the spirit and commitment to
educational excellence of its two Seattle locations, Brian Utting School of Massage
and Brenneke School of Massage, into one institution in the Seattle area. Both of
the current physical facilities will be maintained and operated as one school under
the name Cortiva Institute - Seattle.
Cortiva Education drew on the combined 50 plus years of the Brian Utting School and the Brenneke
School's operating success, commitment to educational excellence, and community influence to
shape its operations in the Seattle area. We are proud of the combined efforts of the individuals
involved in both campuses and we believe that launching the Cortiva Institute - Seattle name
will provide us with better marketability in the areas we serve. Cortiva Institute - Seattle is the only COMTA
accredited massage school in the state of Washington, with faculty members who have a
combined 200 years of experience in the bodywork industry, and who are dedicated to student success.
Cortiva Institute - Brian Utting School of Massage will continue to teach its students
until the last one has graduated, which we expect to be in June 2008. All students attending the Brian Utting location
will continue to get the same services and personalized attention throughout
their education and continuing through career services at the time of graduation.
